Serbia is at the doorsteps of joining a growing Geothermal community. They have applied at least in part an initial phase of investigation and research into these possibilities. Since signing the Kyoto Protocol Serbia has been identifying options in this new renewable age, they are embarking on. Serbia’s current research shows that renewable sources are favorable. Serbia still has a long way to go, before it will be ready to break ground on such a task. There is still much to be done as far as governmental and institutional framework and infrastructure to build. This together with foreign investment could possibly help Serbia enter the 21st Century.
